In Our Own Words for Surrey Youth Voice

We were delighted to work with Surrey Youth Voice on a project showcasing the remarkable work of neurodivergent youth researchers. Trained by professionals at Surrey University, these young individuals developed the skills to design and lead their own social research projects. Their work focuses on understanding the experiences of mental health, emotional wellbeing, and service use for neurodivergent young people in Surrey.

The findings from their research will provide invaluable insights and form the basis for recommendations to local leaders, with the goal of improving services for neurodivergent young people.

What makes this project particularly powerful is that the youth researchers are experts by lived experience, giving them a unique and personal connection to the topics they are exploring. To gather data, they chose to create a survey as their primary collection method, ensuring a wide range of perspectives could be included.

We’re proud to have supported this important initiative with the creation of this video about the project. We can’t wait to see the positive impact their work will have.
